What Do We Do?

Integrative Counseling Services (ICS) is an outpatient chemical dependency treatment program founded in 2007 with the central aim of providing the highest quality addiction counseling services to youth and adults. The strength of ICS is our focus on connecting clinical practice with multi-disciplinary clinical research. Our counselors are licensed addiction professionals in the State of Washington and are available for individual, family, and group counseling. Our staff is compassionate, skillful, and maintains a commitment to the highest level of professional ethics and confidentiality.

ICS’s youth program is focused on prevention and early intervention for high school students and their families, with a primary goal of helping our clients reduce substance use by enhancing internal motivation and increasing family bonding, a powerful protective factor.   By utilizing individual and family counseling, ICS aims to help families build protective factors and decrease risk factors.

Our Philosophy

Utilizing the latest research from the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), ICS views addiction as a chronic relapsing brain disease.  We believe that addiction alters brain function critical to decision making, learning, memory, and behavior control.  Thus, we strive to help our clients build a framework for understanding their compulsive and self-destructive behaviors as well as create a plan to prevent relapse from happening.  Ultimately, we want our clients to build a positive sober identity & thrive in recovery.
