Ashley Floyd MA, CDPT, LMHCA

My therapeutic approach:

I use a variety of treatment modalities and techniques that draw from systems counseling, cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, humanistic psychology, and the neuroscience of addiction. I focus on developing a therapist-client relationship that allows for growth and healing by creatively and gracefully exploring what supports this process for each individual. I strive to provide a safe and empathetic environment to collaboratively work on goals developed specifically to meet each individual's needs. I feel that a healthy recovery integrates the mental, physical, spiritual, emotional, and social health of the individual.

Education

I graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Biology. I have completed a Masters of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology at the Leadership Institute of Seattle. I am registered with the state of Washington as a Chemical Dependency Professional Trainee.

Experience

I have been working in the chemical dependency field since 2011, in both inpatient and outpatient chemical dependency facilities.
